Used as the Carrington Mansion on the television series Dynasty. On this rainy day, this venue serves as the perfect playground to dash into and out of the rain.
One of the many beautiful statues that watch over the 226-acre cemetery in Oakland, California. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the landscape architect who also designed New York City’s Central Park, Mountain View Cemetery is well known for housing many of California’s important historical figures in a section known as “Millionaires’ Row.”
A quest for solitude brings many to this beautiful 30-acre retreat destination, nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains since 1977. Being in this space as a guest was immediately grounding.
This majestic main hall is one of the spaces that remain within this historic landmark in West Oakland, CA. Designed by Chicago architect Jarvis Hunt, the station opened in 1912 to serve as the terminus for the transcontinental railway, the last Western stop. Standing in this empty room, I can feel the rhythm of this once bustling train station.
